From Space Dreams to AI

As a student, Abhinaya was deeply interested in science and aerospace. However, she realized that India lacked sufficient funding and infrastructure in that field at the time. This pushed her to rethink her path.Abhinaya Nair observed that while many global CEOs are Indians, there are fewer globally dominant products originating from India. This realization shifted her focus toward building something impactful.

She began with DSA, web development, and app development, but something still felt missing. Her turning point came when she started training AI models.

“I remember training models three years ago and watching my laptop struggle with the heat. Even with a good GPU, my system would crash. That’s when I truly got pulled into AI.”

Like most true entrepreneurs, she doesn’t believe in settling. Growcial AI is just the beginning a stepping stone to fund and build even bigger dreams independently.

Advice for Students from Science Background Who Want to Build a Future in AI

We asked Abhinaya what advice she would give to students, especially those from a biology background in 12th standard, who want to build a career in AI.

According to her:

Today it is AI, tomorrow it will be something else
Technology keeps changing fast. Today AI is trending, tomorrow it might be something like quantum computing. So don’t get too attached to just one thing focus on learning how to learn.

Be a quick learner
Your biggest advantage is how fast you can adapt. If you can learn quickly, you can stay ahead in any field. She also mentioned that you can connect with her personally if you need a roadmap specific to AI.

Network with people
Talk to people who are already building in AI. The more you connect, the more opportunities you will discover.

Be shameless and curious
Don’t hesitate to reach out, ask questions, and learn from others. Try to understand what people are building and find where you can add value.
